Colin White wins September Open Stableford, Troy Kunz wins Best Gross and Betsy Steer wins the Ladies….

With 41 stableford points, Colin White, won the Katameya Dunes Open Stableford today by beating Troy Kunz on count back over the Palms Course. White, a Katameya Heights member, managed 20 points on the front nine and had an even stronger back nine scoring 21 points for his 41 points total. Kunz was the same but White took the top net spot on count back over the last 6 holes.

The September Open Stableford is open to Members and Guests with an official handicap. A record entry of 42 players competed for the September event which took place over the Katameya Dunes Palms Tees. Men played from the Gold Tees measuring 6716 yards and Ladies played, in a spate competition, from the Red tees measuring 5183 yards.

Kunz took top gross prize in the Open Men’s category with 37 points and his impressive score take his handicap to 3.4, playing 3.

Betsy Steer took the top prize in the ladies with 36 points beating Suzie Blazer on count back over the last 9 holes, due to a strong back nine of 19 points.

Best Senior Net went to Kent Lueders with 37 points.

Best Super Senior went to Mahmoud Abou El Fath with 37 points.
